The Live Selling Associate partners with the eCommerce Supervisor and Leads to support the planning, production, and execution of live selling events across Goodwill's online marketplaces. This role serves as an on-air host by presenting merchandise, engaging customers, and promoting products to drive sales while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in live selling operations, merchandise preparation, and marketplace standards to support the efficient operation of the eCommerce department.

 

What you'll do:

Live Selling & Customer Engagement

  • Plan, prepare, and host live selling events across approved online marketplaces, delivering engaging and informative product presentations.
  • Interact with customers during live broadcasts by answering questions, providing product information, and encouraging sales through professional and engaging communication.
  • Represent the Goodwill Southern California brand by delivering a positive customer experience during both live and virtual interactions.

 

Merchandise Preparation & Event Support

  • Select, research, and prepare merchandise for live selling events, ensuring products meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of live selling events, including cameras, lighting, displays, and other production equipment.
  • Maintain organized inventory and event materials to support efficient live event operations.

 

Marketplace & Sales Support

  • Follow marketplace standards, seller requirements, and fulfillment timelines to support successful live selling events.
  • Track merchandise sold during live events and collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory updates.
  • Monitor customer trends and product performance, sharing recommendations to improve future live selling events.

 

Production & Operations Support

  • Meet or exceed established production and sales goals for assigned live selling events.
  • Support daily eCommerce operations as needed, including merchandise preparation, listing, inventory support, and order fulfillment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency across assigned functions while supporting operational continuity and department goals.

 

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Support training and onboarding of Associates participating in live selling activities by reinforcing established processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Production, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure successful event execution and a seamless customer experience.

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures while using equipment and preparing merchandise for live events.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces before, during, and after live selling events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and marketplace standards.

 

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, sales, eCommerce, live selling, social media, marketing, or a related customer-facing environment.
  • Professional on-camera presence and presentation skills, preferred.
  • Product storytelling and persuasive selling techniques, preferred.
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills, preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Basic knowledge of online marketplaces, social media, or live selling platforms preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn eCommerce, streaming, and inventory management systems.
  • Background and drug screen required.
