Job Summary & ObjectivesThe Litigation Staff Attorney will assist Associates, Counsel, and Partners with litigation and internal & government investigations.Review documents in electronic platforms, including Relativity , for responsiveness, privilege, and issue coding.Create searches to identify documents on electronic review platforms.Prepare fact summaries and chronologies.Communicate with supervising attorneys and colleagues regarding review findings and questions.Assist with deposition preparation, including analysis and selection of documents for deposition sessions.Assist with preparation for witness interviews by identifying relevant documents.Perform other assigned tasks as needed.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Skills and ExperienceAdmission to the bar of the local jurisdiction.Strong technical and computer skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Familiarity with the litigation process, especially the discovery process and related documents.Thorough understanding of privilege law and issues.Strong attention to detail.PreferredPrior experience with electronic document review platforms, including Relativity.Prior experience preparing privilege logs.Physical DemandsEssential activities include sedentary work and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.Sitting: Remaining seated for sustained periods.Walking: Moving on foot to accomplish tasks.Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position.Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms.Pulling/Pushing: Using upper extremities to exert steady force to move an object.Bending/Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Work EnvironmentThe worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions typical of an office or administrative work environment (normal light, air, and space).Salary InformationNY only: Estimated base salary range $120,000 to $140,000 at time of posting. Actual salary will depend on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.Position is exempt (not overtime pay eligible).
