Legal Secretary (Litigation)

Chicago, IL | Full-Time | $50,000-$60,000 + Bonus

A well-established plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a fast-paced practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage service of process and filing of complaints

  • Track deadlines, court orders, and case progression

  • Coordinate with attorneys and docketing on timelines

  • Handle discovery tracking and documentation

  • Maintain attorney calendars (manual + electronic)

  • Assist with medical records requests and file management

  • Order medical records

Qualifications:

  • Prior legal secretary experience in litigation

  • Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of litigation workflow, service of process, and deadlines

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

  • Comfortable in both paper and electronic file systems

Compensation & Benefits:
