Client Overview: Our client is a well-established law firm seeking an experienced
Litigation Paralegal to join its growing legal team. The firm offers a professional, collaborative environment and is looking for someone who can independently manage a busy litigation caseload while providing high-level support to attorneys.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $70,000 - $80,000
Position Overview: The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case development and discovery through mediation and trial preparation. This individual will be responsible for managing deadlines, drafting legal documents, coordinating discovery, and maintaining organized case files.
Responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal:- Manage litigation matters from initial case development through resolution and trial.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, expert witnesses, and trial preparation.
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, discovery deadlines, and case-related scheduling.
- Organize and review records, evidence, exhibits, and other case documentation.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other parties.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and case files.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
Required Experience/Skills for the Litigation Paralegal:- Prior litigation paralegal experience.
- Strong knowledge of the litigation process, discovery, court filings, and deadline management.
- Experience drafting and preparing litigation-related legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Litigation Paralegal:- Experience supporting matters through mediation and trial.
- Familiarity with Florida court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Experience with legal case management software.
- Plaintiff-side and/or personal injury litigation experience is a plus.
Education Requirements:- Paralegal certificate and/or relevant degree preferred.
- Equivalent litigation experience will be considered.
