A highly respected, nationally recognized law firm is growing its litigation team and is looking to add an experienced Litigation Paralegal.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the full life cycle of a case and wants to work alongside experienced attorneys handling complex, high-value litigation matters. The firm offers the stability and resources of a large organization while providing a collaborative team environment.
And one of the biggest perks? You’ll only be required to be in the office one day per week.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll serve as a key partner to the attorneys, helping keep cases organized, moving forward, and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of assigned litigation files from filing through trial and post-trial
Preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other case-related documents
Filing documents with State and Federal courts and managing e-filing requirements
Tracking discovery, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other important case milestones
Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and witnesses
Supporting attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document organization
Assisting with trial preparation, including exhibits, trial binders, redactions, and other materials
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the firm's case management system
Managing attorney calendars and coordinating meetings, depositions, hearings, and travel when needed
Helping the legal team stay ahead of deadlines in a busy, high-volume practice
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is an experienced litigation paralegal who can confidently manage multiple matters at once and understands what it takes to keep a case moving.
You'll ideally bring:
2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
Law firm experience; personal injury experience is a plus
Working knowledge of State and Federal court procedures
Experience with pleadings, discovery, court filings, and litigation documentation
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a substantial caseload
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working independently while collaborating with attorneys and other legal professionals
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
Familiarity with e-filing systems and court technology
Experience with CourtMAP and JAWS is a plus
English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
