Core Responsibilities (Condensed)

  • Litigation admin + calendaring: hearings, court appearances, deadlines (discovery/procedural)
  • Draft routine filings: notices, pro hac vice, extensions, defaults, deposition notices, subpoenas
  • Case file management: hard copy + electronic; correspondence; binders for depo/hearing/trial
  • Research: targeted online research; retrieve authority on Westlaw
  • eDiscovery: Relativity database work, tagging criteria, doc review, production workflow, ESI protocols
  • Production support: redactions, duplicates, Bates labeling
  • Quality control: cite-checking briefs/memos; ensure citation & exhibit accuracy
  • Depositions + trials: witness files, coordination, trial logistics

Requirements / Non-Negotiables

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years litigation paralegal experience
  • Court procedures: Must be well???versed in federal + state procedures
  • Credential: Must have paralegal certificate OR paralegal degree
  • OR willing to obtain (acceptable)
  • Traits: Exceptional detail, proofreading, confidentiality, service mindset
  • Overtime: Moderate to heavy overtime as needed (especially trial prep)

Work Model / Perks

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 remote for paralegals & legal assistants

Reporting / Structure

  • All ~70 paralegals report to Paralegal Manager (centralized reporting)
  • Day-to-day work and team integration is Houston-based

Compensation Guidance (Calibration)

  • Salary ranges from $90,000 - $100,000 DOE
