Based in Branford, our attorneys practice throughout Connecticut and handle a broad mix of litigation and transactional matters. The firm intentionally maintains a collaborative, small-firm environment where attorneys with different backgrounds work together on client matters.
Our litigation practice includes general civil litigation, personal injury and negligence, commercial and contract disputes, workers’ compensation, employment matters, and other contested matters. We are seeking an experienced paralegal who is comfortable working across practice areas, supporting multiple attorneys, and taking ownership of the day-to-day organization and progression of cases.

Job Details
Support attorneys throughout the full litigation lifecycle, from initial case development through settlement or trial
Independently organize and maintain an active caseload across multiple attorneys and practice areas
Draft, prepare, proofread, and organize pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, discovery materials, and other legal documents
Coordinate written discovery, document production, and collection of case-related records
Obtain and organize medical records, employment records, business documents, and other evidence
Assist with deposition preparation, including exhibits, document organization, and witness coordination
Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial
Handle and coordinate state and federal court filings
Maintain litigation calendars, court dates, discovery deadlines, and other critical case deadlines
Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, medical providers, and other outside parties
Work closely with multiple attorneys while independently identifying upcoming deadlines and case needs
5+ years of law firm/paralegal experience preferred
Strong civil litigation experience required; direct experience in every practice area is not necessary
Personal injury, employment, commercial litigation, workers’ compensation, or general litigation experience is a plus
Strong organizational, writing, communication, and client-service skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and comfortably move between different types of cases
