Overview
We are a legal recruiting firm partnering with a leading law firm in the financial services litigation space that is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing Pennsylvania practice. This is an urgent, growth-driven hire driven by increased client demand and case volume.
The ideal candidate will possess substantive mortgage servicing litigation experience and be capable of independently managing a portfolio of contested matters from inception through resolution. This position offers remote flexibility, with occasional in-person requirements for court appearances, training, client meetings, or team events.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of contested mortgage servicing and foreclosure litigation matters throughout Pennsylvania
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, and resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Appear independently at hearings, conferences, mediations, and court proceedings
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and case developments
- Manage related matters involving title disputes, property issues, code violations, bankruptcy-related litigation, and other real estate-related disputes
- Collaborate with firm leadership and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service
- Maintain compliance with client guidelines, court deadlines, and reporting requirements
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar
- 38+ years of litigation experience
- Demonstrated experience handling mortgage servicing, mortgage foreclosure, or financial services litigation matters
- Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, court appearances, discovery, and case management
- Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and responsiveness
Ideal Candidate
- Prior law firm experience representing mortgage servicers, lenders, investors, or financial institutions
- Experience handling contested foreclosure litigation throughout Pennsylvania
- Ability to "hit the ground running" and assume responsibility for an existing portfolio of matters
- Highly organized and capable of managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound professional judgment
- Collaborative team player with a client-service mindset
