About the Opportunity
A respected New York law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters while gaining hands‑on experience in municipal and state court work. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, research, and argue motions in state and municipal courts.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
- Manage document review and production.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Handle state court litigation matters, including municipal cases.
- Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy.
- Maintain strong client communication and case management practices.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active license to practice law in New York.
- 3–5 years of litigation experience within a law firm.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Professional presence and client‑focused mindset.
- Strong organizational and case management abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with municipal litigation.
- Prior courtroom experience (motions, hearings, depositions).
- Familiarity with complex discovery and document production.
- Strong interest in long‑term litigation practice development.
