Litigation Attorney | 6+ Years of Experience | Hybrid  (MUST BE LICENSED IN VIRGINIA)
Location: Richmond, VA

A law firm in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 6+ years of experience to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a background in trucking and transportation litigation, or a commercial litigation or torts practice who is interested in expanding into this area.

Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.

• Develop case strategies and advise clients on potential risks and outcomes.

• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.

• Conduct depositions and prepare fact and expert witnesses.

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.

• Prepare cases for trial and participate in courtroom advocacy.

• Maintain clear, timely communication with clients and other case stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Active Virginia Bar membership in good standing.

• 6+ years of litigation experience.

• Experience in trucking and transportation, commercial litigation, or torts litigation.

• Interest in handling trucking and transportation matters; direct experience is welcome but not required.

• Trial experience is a major plus.

• Strong research, writing, case management, and advocacy skills.

• Ability to handle matters independently while collaborating with a litigation team.
