Litigation Attorney (5+ Years Experience)

Balian Law LLP is growing and seeking a Litigation Attorney (5+ years) who wants hands-on experience, meaningful responsibility, and direct involvement in sophisticated matters across trusts and estates, guardianship, and business litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be a skilled advocate with a passion for problem-solving and exceptional attention to detail. At Balian Law LLP, we provide personalized, strategic legal counsel across litigation, estate planning, real estate, and business matters.

Practice Areas You’ll Be Involved With

• Estate, trust, and probate litigation
• Business dispute resolution
• Guardianships and Conservatorships
• Corporate and Real Estate litigation matters

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, from pleadings through trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Develop case strategy and manage workflow with minimal supervision
• Communicate directly with opposing counsel, courts, experts, and third parties
• Provide practical, business-minded advice aligned with client objectives

Required Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (active, in good standing); New York, or eligibility to waive in, is a plus
• 5+ years of litigation experience at a law firm
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy ability
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Experience or exposure to tax, trusts & estates, business, and commercial law
• Prior experience with complex litigation and multi-party disputes
• Proven track record drafting substantive legal documents
