Litigation Associate (2–5 Years) – Albany, NY (Onsite)

Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded Am Law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Albany office. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile matters at the intersection of litigation and public policy.

You’ll gain hands-on experience representing clients across industries in complex disputes involving government agencies, regulatory issues, and constitutional matters—including First Amendment work.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle complex litigation matters from early case development through resolution
• Draft briefs, motions, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and factual investigations
• Manage discovery, including document review and strategy
• Take and defend depositions and appear in state and federal court
• Work on matters involving healthcare, environmental, energy, government procurement, insurance, and more

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years of litigation experience
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience with motions practice, discovery, and depositions preferred
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Federal clerkship is a plus
• Active New York Bar admission required
