We are partnered with a well-established San Francisco law firm seeking Litigation Associate Attorneys with 2–7 years of meaningful civil litigation experience to join its Litigation Department. This partnership-track opportunity offers the chance to work on sophisticated litigation matters involving complex commercial disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, trust disputes, contract disputes, and intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, exceptional legal research and writing abilities, and outstanding academic credentials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload involving complex civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and written discovery.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests while managing case deadlines and litigation schedules.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
- Participate in depositions, motion practice, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Senior-level attorneys will have opportunities to argue motions, take and defend depositions, prepare cases for trial, participate in arbitrations, and assist with trial.
Qualifications
- J.D. from a top ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
- Active membership in the California Bar.
- 2–7 years of meaningful civil litigation experience.
- Superior legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple litigation matters.
- Deposition, motion argument, arbitration, and trial preparation experience is preferred for more senior candidates.
