    LabCorpis seeking a LIS Coordinatorto join our team at Ascension St Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Work Schedule:  1st shift; Monday- Friday 8:00am- 4:30pm. On call when needed. Hours may be adjusted based on business needs or at the discretion of the hiring manager.

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • MonitorLISdashboards for basic system alerts, error queues, and analyzer connectivity flags.

    • Assistwith routine configuration updates such as label formats, print routing, user role changes, and test dictionary documentation.

    • Coordinate workstation, printer, and peripheral device support with IT/LISAnalysts.

    • Performfirst‑leveltroubleshooting and escalate issues withappropriate details.

    • Assistswith testing and validation activities

    • Execute predefined test scripts during upgrades, patches, and workflow changes.

    • Document validation results and communicate findings toLISAnalysts.

    • Support comparison of pre‑andpost‑changefunctionality toidentifybasic discrepancies.

    • Helpmaintaintest evidence andvalidationdocumentation libraries.

    • Assistwithuser‑accessreviews andLISpermissions auditing.

    • Run routine audit logs (e.g., pendinglists, workflow exceptions) per SOP.

    • Reportobservedworkflow or data discrepancies to Analysts or leadership.

    • Support regulatory preparation by gatheringLISaudit outputs as instructed.

    • Maintain downtime binders, forms, labels, instructions, and communicationlists.

    • Participate in downtime drills and document observations.

    • Assistwithpost‑downtimevalidation steps by following checklists.

    • Help update downtime and DR documentation as workflows evolve.

    • Provide basicLISnavigationassistanceand respond to routine user questions.

    • Coordinate and scheduleLIStraining sessions with Analysts andleadership.

    • Maintain training guides, tip sheets, and learning materials.

    • Supportonboarding ofnew laboratory staff withLISorientation tasks.

    • Run scheduled operational and quality reports usingLIStools.

    • Performfirst‑leveldata review and flag anomalies for Analysts or leadership.

    • Distribute recurring reports to appropriate stakeholders.

    • Maintain reporting schedules and documentation.

     Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology,Information Technology/Computer Science

    • 1 year ormore ofexperience in a clinical laboratory IT support environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degreein a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology,Information Technology/Computer Science

    • ASCP and/or AMT Certifications

    • 2 years or more of experience supervising or leading a team

    • Prior experience supporting or administering anLISor EHR systems in a hospital or healthcare setting

    • 2 years of experience with laboratory workflows across multiple disciplines (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, etc.)

    Additional Job Standards:

    • In lieu of education requirementslisted above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement
