Linux Systems Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator for a world leading technology and cybersecurity organization. The Linux Systems Administrator role is a 6‑month contract position focused on supporting, maintaining, and securing enterprise Linux environments. An ideal candidate for the Linux Systems Administrator role is a systems professional with strong Linux administration experience, a background in automation or scripting, and experience supporting secure, highly available infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Linux Systems Administrator:

• Administer, Engineer, maintain, and support Linux servers across development, test, and production environments
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues
• Perform system patching, upgrades, and configuration management
• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting tools
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to support deployments and integrations

Qualifications of the Linux Systems Administrator:

• Strong professional experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
• Hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as Red Hat, CentOS,
• Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Ideal experience supporting secure, regulated, or compliance-driven environments

Compensation for the Linux Systems Administrator includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and Sick Leave as required by law
