CDIT is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to support a secure, mission-critical enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance, and security of Linux-based infrastructure, with a focus on IBM Enterprise Storage, Veritas NetBackup, vulnerability management, system patching, and security compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Linux administration experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, optimize system performance, and support highly available environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems in a production environment.
- Manage and support IBM Enterprise Storage solutions, ensuring availability and performance.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup for enterprise backup and recovery operations.
- Perform system patching and package management using YUM repositories.
- Execute and remediate vulnerability scans using Nessus, ensuring compliance with applicable security standards.
- Support and maintain STE/STIN processes and environments.
- Implement and maintain system security configurations, including applicable NSF frameworks and policies.
- Perform routine system health checks and optimize performance, availability, access controls, and security.
- Support system optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot potential system issues, risks, and operational roadblocks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and technical teams on system upgrades, audits, incident response, and operational requirements.
- Maintain system configurations, procedures, and compliance documentation.
