Job Summary

Summary:Responsible to handle, inspect and process new and clean linen stocks and assembles linen packs and issues linen. Also cleans the work area and performs any related tasks as assigned or instructedDoes this position require Patient Care? NoEssential Functions:-Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner. Stacks linens by folding items. -Maximizes laundry production by monitoring workload requirements, equipment capacity, and operator availability. -Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts-Checks stock and notifies Supervisor of supply needsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsExperiencelaundry/housekeeping experience 0-1 year preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of laundry procedures required.- Possess the ability to work in a self-supervised capacity on weekends and holidays.- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Physical Requirements
