Line Shop Analyst

Summary:

• Location: Akron, OH
• Duration: 3 Months

Responsibilities:

• Conduct targeted field visits to shops and service centers with lower capitalization rates.
• Work with Accounting Policy, Business Services, and Operations teams during shop reviews to understand local practices, identify inconsistencies, and provide real-time guidance on capitalization decisions.
• Standardize review tools and reporting to streamline supervisors' work management processes.
• Evaluate the potential to streamline reporting and dashboards for better management of time charging and capitalization performance.
• Develop or refresh Accounting Policy playbooks and guidance documents to simplify operations tasks.
• Provide targeted training for line supervisors, shop personnel, and Business Services teams to reinforce expectations and improve consistency.
• Conduct a joint review with Accounting Policy and Engineering on standard design requirements.
• Ensure projects are designed and executed using approved standards, considering capitalization implications early in the process.
• Evaluate existing tools and processes related to time charging, focusing on PowerOn follow-up activities for improvement opportunities.
