    Job Summary:

    Packages materials and products manually, by performing any combination of following duties. A Line operator works on a high-speed packing line, responsible for working with teammates to manage the output and quality of his/her line. This is a critical role in the organization and requires focus, hard work and a can-do attitude.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Load and unload materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means.
    • Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
    • Labels containers, cartons, prepacks, and/or master shipper.
    • Wraps protective material around product.
    • Packs special arrangements or selections of product.
    • Sorts bundles or filled containers.
    • Assembles cartons, prepacks, master shippers and/or pallet boxes.
    • Clean packaging containers.
    • Transfer finished products around plant and warehouse using hand truck or pallet jack.
    • Deliver items to designated work areas for processing from the warehouse.
    • Capable of being assigned to different workstations as packing needs require.
    • Deliver processed units to storage or to the next stage or processing.
    • Packs products in containers.
    • Cleans around work areas, using broom, mop and Isopropyl Alcohol, and other cleaning agents.
    • Assist other packing workers in packing activities.
    • Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to the individual or others.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment.
    • Follows CGMP's.
    • Works with integrity to produce a high-quality product according to the job manufacturing packet.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Able to communicate with all levels of employees.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills.
    • Basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
    • Ability to work well under pressure and stay organized.

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
    • Experience with Pallet Jacks, tape guns, tape machines, heat guns, labelers.
    • Previous experience with Liquid filling Machines, cappers, conveyors, lot coders & shrink tunnels preferred.

    Physical and Mental Demands:

    • Work in a factory setting.
    • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Regularly required to stand.
    • Frequently required to walk.
    • Regularly reach with hands and arms.
    • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    The physical demands identified above are representative of those that will be required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    Work Environment:

    • Regularly required to work in areas where chemical materials are encountered.
    • Manufacturing setting with moving machinery.
    • Regularly required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
    • May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels.
    • Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety.
