    Job Summary

    The Line Locator position provides Damage Prevention services for WES assets.

    This position is in Western Midstream Operations team in Kermit, TX as a member of the Delaware Basin Midstream team.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 year experience in oil and gas production facilities preferred
    • A basic understanding of oil and gas operations, and working knowledge of natural gas process equipment is considered a significant plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Mature, professional and self-initiating individual who will deliver strong customer appreciation
    • Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects
    • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
    • Strong time management and mechanical skills required
    • Ability to learn on the job
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Time management skills.
    • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively across cross functional groups.

    Responsibilities

    • Respond to 811/One-Call and company locate requests on time.
    • Read and interpret utility maps, as-builts, and alignment sheets.
    • Accurately mark underground facilities using paint, flags, or stakes
    • Use locating equipment properly and maintained.
    • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
    • Support team members to ensure coverage and reliability.
    • Live and follow WES Policies & Core Values.
    • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
    • Be an active participant in our Health Safety and Environmental culture.

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Certifications/Licenses

    • Candidate must possess a valid drivers license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle

    Travel Requirements

    • The percentage of travel (other than daily required travel for duties) required for this position is 0 - 10%.
    • This position is not eligible for relocation.
    • Successful candidate must live within 75 miles of Kermit or Orla, TX.

    Work Schedule

    • This position will be 5-2 that could require working overtime, weekend, callouts and holidays may be required.
