Position Summary:

At Hellas, our Line Cooks are more than cooks; they are the heart of the restaurant. Cooks are responsible for preparing and executing menu items with speed, accuracy, and care; they take full ownership of their station from setup to breakdown while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly with the kitchen team, and maintain composure under pressure. For over 50 years, we’ve proudly served authentic Greek pastries, breads, and meals to locals and visitors alike. What You Will Do: 

• Prepare and cook dishes with speed, accuracy, and consistency. 
• Own your station from setup to breakdown, keeping it stocked and clean. 
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines. 
• Operate and care for kitchen equipment safely. 
• Jump in where needed to support the team; adaptability is key. 
• Take pride in every plate as your work shapes the guest experience. 

What You Bring: 

• At least a year of full-service cooking or similar experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting 
• Knowledge of food prep, cooking basics, and food safety. 
• Strong communication and multitasking skills 
• Reliability, professionalism, and a team-player mindset 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Florida Food Handler Certification (will be required after 60 days of employment) 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to stand for extended periods. 
• Must be able to lift or move 25–50 lbs. as needed. 
• Visual requirements include close, peripheral, and focused vision.
