Come work with one of the best culinary teams in the Lowcountry. Wexford Hilton Head is seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Line Cook to assist in food preparation and presentation for members and guests in the dining room, private events, and club functions. This role supports a high-quality, efficient kitchen operation while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. This role works closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistent quality and smooth service during all dining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including meats, poultry, and seafood using grilling, broiling, and sauté techniques.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menus and preparation procedures.

  • Set up and maintain clean, organized, and efficient workstations.

  • Assist with receiving deliveries, checking product quality, and ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.

  • Support kitchen operations during service to ensure timely and high-quality food preparation.

  • Assist with physical inventory as directed by the Executive Chef.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a professional kitchen environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and move kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with varying temperatures.

Schedule

Full-time position.
Shifts may include day, evening, and weekend hours depending on operational needs.

Compensation

$20.00 – $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
