About the Role
Mfinite Consulting is hiring Cooks to prepare meals according to NHVH menus and dietary specifications for veteran residents at the New Hampshire Veterans Home, including residents of a life-enhanced dementia unit. If you take pride in your craft in the kitchen and want your cooking to make a real difference in residents' daily lives, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and dietary/therapeutic diet specifications
• Maintain food safety, portion control, and presentation standards
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep the cooking area clean and sanitized
• Communicate ingredient, equipment, or scheduling issues to the Kitchen Supervisor
• Assist with inventory, food storage, and rotation as needed

What You'll Need

• Previous food service/cooking experience preferred
• Ability to read recipes and follow written directions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Flexibility to work indoors and/or outdoors depending on event needs

Before You Start: Screening & Compliance
Per NHVH contract requirements, all candidates must complete the following prior to their start date:

• Criminal background check (National Criminal Records Check or NH Release of Criminal Record Authorization)
• BEAS State Registry check
• OIG Exclusion List screening (at hire, with monthly re-screening thereafter)
• Annual Conviction Disclosure Attestation
• Fitness-for-duty attestation, and physical/drug testing where applicable
• Review and attestation of NHVH policies and procedures (at hire and annually)
• Note: Former NHVH employees are not eligible for placement without prior NHVH approval
