    Position Summary
    We're hiring dedicated line cooks to join our back-of-house team as we open Deepwell - the newest full-service restaurant from the Kindred Hospitality group. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment suited to cooks who take pride in technique, consistency, and delivering a memorable dining experience through every plate that leaves the kitchen. We offer a challenging workplace for individuals interested in furthering their knowledge in the culinary world.

    About Us

    Deepwell is an upscale casual restaurant and part of a growing local restaurant group, with several other restaurants in the area owned by Joe & Katy Kindred. Our culinary team has earned five James Beard Foundation nominations for Best Chef: Southeast along with other national and local accolades. We want to continue to grow and push the boundaries of food and teamwork.

    Responsibilities
    • Execute recipes and plating standards with precision and consistency during every shift
    • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of daily menu changes, preparation methods, and ingredients
    • Set up, break down, and maintain an organized, well-stocked station throughout service
    • Prepare mise en place and components ahead of service to ensure smooth, timely execution
    • Communicate effectively with servers, expo, and other kitchen staff to ensure accurate, timely, and well-paced service
    • Handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and modifications with professionalism and care
    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food safety standards at your station and throughout the kitchen
    • Monitor food quality, freshness, and portioning to uphold the restaurant's standards
    • Work collaboratively as part of a team during high-volume, fast-paced shifts
    Qualifications
    • Previous line cook experience required; upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred
    • Working knowledge of classic culinary techniques and a willingness to learn seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work near heat for extended periods
    • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
    • Food safety certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Starting at $19/hr.
