Cold Side Line Cook (Pastry/Pantry)!
This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, working the pastry and pantry stations at our high end, successful steakhouse restaurant in Clayton, Missouri.
Requirements & Expectations:- At least 2 years of experience, but preferably 3 or more years of pastry / cold line experienceÂ
- Ability to successfully work both pastry and pantry stations in a fast-paced / high stress environment while remaining calm, professional & working as part of a teamÂ
- Knowledge of molecular gastronomy, experience with cake making & decorating, petit fours/ mignardises, gluten-free, ice cream/sorbet, bread making, etc.Â
- Ability to handle knives, operate kitchen equipment & follow recipe / presentation guidelines while maintaining proper food safety & sanitation standards
- Coordinate food orders to support timely / efficient delivery to each table; meet special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with BOH team in loud environmentÂ
- Must be available any day of the week, including nights, weekends & some holidays
- Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
