Duties:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Adhere to proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team.
• A background in dietary departments or menu planning is a plus but not required.
