Line Cook at The Adirondack Hotel - housing available

We are a privately owned and operated historic hotel and restaurant on the lake (owned by a Buffalonian since 1990), in a small town in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can do" attitude. While experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment/food preparation/presentation is an absolute plus, WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.

• HOURS \\ serving hours are 12-8pm (no super early mornings or late nights).
• FULL TIME - 40 hours, potential OT if so desired
• PAY \\ $18-22 ( plus shift meal + shift drink)
• HOUSING \\ available
• Start immediately - though mid October (can turn to full time employment for the right person)
  
  As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes meet the high standards of quality and taste that our guests expect. Your expertise in cooking techniques and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience in our restaurant.
  
  Responsibilities:
  -Being a team player that helps out where needed.
  -Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
  -Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances.
  -Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  -Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  
  Experience:
  -Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred but not required.
  -Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is a plus.
  -Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills, is helpful
  -Experience working in a restaurant or dietary department is beneficial.
  -Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
