Welder
Responsible for repairing and correcting welded components that do not meet quality standards after robotic welding operations. This role at Linde Wiemann ensures defective or non-conforming parts are properly repaired, re-inspected, and brought back into compliance with customer specifications and internal quality requirements. (MIG and TIG)
Pay
Shift Schedules
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities of a Welder
- Repair defective or non-conforming welds after robotic welding operations using MIG and/or TIG processes
- Review defects and determine appropriate repair method (touch-up, re-weld, grind/clean, rework) per work instructions
- Grind, clean, and prep parts prior to repair welding (remove spatter, slag, and contaminants as required)
- Perform visual inspection of welds before and after repair (weld appearance, undercut, porosity, missing welds, spatter, burn-through, part damage, etc.)
- Re-inspect and verify repaired components meet customer specifications and internal quality standards
- Use basic measuring tools/fixtures as needed to confirm fit-up, alignment, and part condition
- Document/communicate repair counts, scrap, and recurring defects to the team lead/supervisor
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area (5S/housekeeping)
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant policies
Requirements of a Welder
- Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred; entry-level candidates with strong work history may be considered
- Ability to follow written instructions and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned shift schedule
- Ability to stand/walk for most of the shift and lift up to 30–50 lbs (based on assignment)
- Willingness to follow all safety and PPE requirements
- Must be able to pass an onsite welding test
