    A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician

    As a Lighting Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and a repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities mechanical and electrical systems.

    • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance for large grocery chain lighting systems on a scheduled monthly routine.
    • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory by checking stock to determine appropriate inventory levels.
    • Prepares maintenance reports listing parts, labor and electronically submitting daily as work is completed.
    • Identify root cause of problems by observing and testing lighting components in operations, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
    • Responsible for general maintenance of all lighting as specified in written contracts, including emergency situations that may arise.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Driving an assigned company service vehicle is required along with good driving record maintained while employed.

    Education & Experience

    • Valid Drivers License is required; Work will be performed at multiple grocery store locations on a routine scheduled basis. Work locations will be approximately within a 75 mile radius of home based territory.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
    • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
    • Required to use hand tools, climb ladders, bending, stooping, walking long distances repeatedly throughout the day
    • Required to learn and become familiar with multiple inventory parts and general lighting applications.
    • Required to organize and coordinate schedules
    • Required to analyze and interpret complex data

    Skills & Requirements

    • Proficient in mechanical calibration
    • Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
