    Job Title: Lighting Hardware Engineer
    Location: Allen Park, Michigan
    Expertise: Automotive Exterior Lighting, Hardware & Power Electronics

    Job Summary:

    • Develop automotive exterior lighting hardware for headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear combination lamps.
    • Handle end-to-end hardware development from architecture through production readiness.
    • Design system-level power architectures and LED driver strategies (linear vs. switching).
    • Work within EMI, thermal, cost, and functional safety constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop hardware for automotive exterior lighting systems.
    • Implement LED driver and power electronics architectures.
    • Support ASIL QM/A/B functional safety requirements.
    • Integrate CAN-FD and LIN communication.
    • Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and component derating.
    • Conduct thermal and reliability analysis, including DFMEA and MTBF.
    • Drive pre-compliance and compliance EMC testing.
    • Troubleshoot conducted and radiated emissions.
    • Resolve EMC issues through PCB layout, filtering, and architectural changes.
    • Ensure hardware meets production-readiness and reliability requirements.
