This Lighting Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving commercial lighting products, especially LED-based systems and integrated controls.
Core Responsibilities:
Design and develop LED luminaires and lighting systems for commercial/industrial applications
Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, product management, and sales to bring products from concept production
Perform photometric analysis, thermal management, and electrical design validation
Support custom product requests and specification-driven projects
Ensure products meet industry standards (UL, DLC, energy codes, etc.)
Contribute to continuous product innovation (efficiency, controls, human-centric lighting, etc.)
Troubleshoot and improve existing product lines
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience in lighting, LED systems, or electrical product design (this is big)
Knowledge of:
LED drivers, controls, and power systems
Photometrics / lighting layouts (AGi32 or similar is a plus)
Thermal and mechanical design considerations
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
