Job Title- Light Industrial - Shipping and Receiving ClerkLocation- Cincinnati, OH Duration- 3+ MonthsShift/Time Zone: 7:30am-4:00pm Mon- FriBasic Purpose: Responsible for shipping, receiving and routing of materials into and out of the Business Unit (BU), as well as the appropriate documentation and data entry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, verify, process, and route incoming materials to the facility and designated off-site/remote locations; accurately record receipts in the Materials Management software system.
- Identify and report discrepancies between received materials and shipping documentation to the Warehouse Manager.
- Prepare outbound shipments and ensure all required shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
- Manage the Returned Goods process in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Deliver stock and materials to designated staging areas for various departments.
- Organize and store warehouse inventory in designated locations while rotating stock based on receipt and expiration dates to ensure proper inventory control and minimize product expiration.
- Identify short-dated materials with less than 30 days of shelf life and notify the Warehouse Manager to determine appropriate action.
- Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, and other organizational policies and procedures.
- Review existing warehouse and materials management procedures and recommend process improvements to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of internal and external orders as needed.
- Support record storage and retrieval activities as required.
- Assist with the preparation, receipt, sorting, and distribution of internal, inbound, and external mail.
- Perform additional warehouse, materials management, and operational duties as assigned.
Education Preferred: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience: Six months previous materials management experience
Some data entry experience preferred.
Other: -Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Strong problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Good record keeping skills
Ability to operate a computer, printer and bar code scanner
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) or equivalent
Able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) pounds
Ability to operate materials handling equipment as needed (fork lift, pallet jack, etc.)
