We are seeking a skilled and motivated Light Industrial MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Columbia, SC, 29209. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving welding-related issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is a plus.
- Proven experience as a MIG welder, preferably in a light industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks and lift materials as needed.
- Welding certification is preferred but not required.
