Light Industrial - Material Handler
Location: Warner Robins, GA (Robins Air Force Base) | 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday
About the Role
Join a dynamic team at Robins Air Force Base as a Material Handler, where you'll play a vital part in supporting essential operations by managing the movement, storage, and tracking of materials. This hands-on role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals looking to advance their careers in a secure, fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, sort, and convey materials within the plant or yard using manual and powered equipment.
- Open containers, count and weigh materials, and accurately record inventory information.
- Place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL) and conduct inventory using a Windows tablet.
- Use carts, hand trucks, and other devices to transport and stack materials efficiently.
- Order and replenish inventory bins using a handheld tablet and scanner.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, including PPE and steel toe footwear.
- Drive your personal vehicle onto Robins AFB, meeting all access requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Material Handler in a light industrial or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific direction.
- Proficient in basic inventory processes using tablets or handheld scanners.
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and registration required for base access.
- Comfortable with manual labor and wearing required PPE.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working on military bases or in government facilities.
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving protocols.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in industrial settings.
