Description

Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Tulsa, OK (100% Onsite)
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Pay Range: $18.00 to $19.50 per hour on W2
Shift: 1st shift, 6:00 am-2:30 pm

Job Description:
  • This position operates our Flame Cell Machine to perform operations with assistance with items needed for production of company products.
  • Coordinates machining activities with the Shift Supervisor to guarantee required quantities are completed as needed to meet the efficiency standard.
  • May work temporarily in other areas as directed.
  • Must guarantee that all parts machined meet the quality requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the company quality system is applied to all function of job responsibility
  • Study specifications such as routing sheets, job orders, drawings, or sketches and performs the proper sequence of machining operations
  • Set up and operate with assistance drill presses, engine lathes, and other single purpose machines
  • Operate with assistance, CNC mills and lathes
  • Operates manual machines to turn, bore, thread, form, face, drill, step drill, ream countersink, and groove. Adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut
  • Reports maintenance problems to the appropriate member of management
  • Ensure tools are calibrated in accordance with the company quality procedures
  • Contacts supervisor or designee to perform 1st article inspection on all set-ups and machining operations
  • Cross-train in other machine tools and shop functions as time allows
  • Keep management informed of job status to make sure production time is maximized

Must Have:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting using machining equipment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, and perform simple arithmetic calculations required
  • Ability to produce quality parts, in a timely fashion, account for quantity produced, and coordinated with warehouse personnel
  • Use precision measuring tools for inspecting and checking parts
  • Ability to identify various components
  • Knowledge of work instructions and other documented procedures relating to the manufacture of company products preferred
  • Be able to stand and use tools for hammering, grinding, and rolling parts
