Consist of engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing and basic Laboratory operations responsibility. Some climbing on ladders may be required as well as lifting up to 25lbs. These responsibilities will include fabrication of electronic/electrical chassis' and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings. Candidate must be capable of working independently, discussing technical issues with customers and working with vendors. An AA in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is highly preferred.
• This position will perform a variety of tasks ranging from evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as cables and harnesses. A large portion of this position will be integrating and cabling rack assemblies.
• Daily cable and harness techniques (wire cutting, stripping, cable prep and layup, connectorization, crimping, pinning, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, use of lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, testing, etc.)
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instructions
• Operates related equipment/tools
• Conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format
• Position requires the use of lab equipment
• Work collaboratively with management team to correct and improve upon any documents related to the processes
• Build, route, and dress Cat5e/Cat6 cables in a rack and test functionality
• Conduct in-process inspections on product in accordance with quality specifications
