Light Industrial - Electrical Technician (Avionics/Electrical Environmental)
Location: Beale AFB, CA, 95825, United States
About the Role
Join our dynamic MOD Team at Beale AFB as a Light Industrial - Electrical Technician, specializing in aircraft avionics and electrical environmental systems. Take your military and MOD experience to the next level by performing critical repairs, installations, and upgrades on advanced aircraft systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Terminate, route, and build connectors/cannon plugs for aircraft systems
- Repair, construct, install, and troubleshoot routine electrical systems and equipment
- Cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit; measure and cut wire/conduit to precise lengths
- Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, lights, sockets, plugs, light fuses, and extension cords
- Disassemble motors, generators, and related equipment in preparation for repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding
- Test electrical equipment for safety, functionality, and efficiency using blueprints and hand tools
- Document and report maintenance activities following safety and compliance standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years hands-on electrical technician experience
- Previous military background, USAF 7 Level or equivalent Journeyman certification
- 2-4 years MOD experience in avionic/electrical environmental roles
- Proficient with electrical schematics, blueprints, and voltage/amperage measurement tools
Preferred Skills
- Fighter aircraft maintenance experience
