LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (SIGN SHOP)

Operates a variety of small engine tools and equipment such as weed eaters, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, heat applicator, jack hammers, power and hand tools, etc. Completes the following activities in support of County projects and activities as assigned: cuts weeds around signs; trims grass to install signs; removes fallen trees, other debris, ice, and snow from roads and County property; installs and repairs traffic control signs; manufactures signs; inputs work orders in Cityworks; and performs other related duties as required. High school diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of work experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver"s License. A Class B Commercial Driver"s License (CDL), including appropriate endorsement, is preferred.
