Position Overview We are looking for a reliable Light-Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair our agricultural equipment and fleet of pickups and trucks. Please note the scope of this role: This position focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and light-to-medium repairs. Heavy diesel engine work, transmission rebuilds, and major overhauls are completely outsourced to professional specialty shops. • Equipment Repair: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electrical issues, and mechanical components on agricultural equipment and implements.

    • Triage & Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Determine whether a repair can be handled in-house or if it requires dispatching to our external heavy-engine partners.

    • Vendor Coordination: Prepare and stage vehicles or equipment that need to be sent out for heavy engine work, and communicate issues clearly to our partner shops.

    • Record Keeping: Log all maintenance, repairs, and parts used for both in-house work and outsourced jobs to maintain a clear service history for every asset.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Solid foundational knowledge of automotive and agricultural equipment mechanics.

    • Experience with 12V/24V electrical systems, basic hydraulics, and general vehicle diagnostics.

    • Ability to perform brake jobs, suspension repairs, and general preventative maintenance efficiently.

    • Scope Discipline: The ability to recognize the limits of the shop's capabilities and efficiently coordinate with external specialists for major engine or transmission overhauls.

    • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a bonus but not required) and a clean driving record.

    • Must provide your own basic set of hand tools (specialty tools provided by the shop).
