     JOB DESCRIPTION 

     

    Job Position: Light Assembly Worker (Full Time)

     

    Supervisor: Operations Manager

     

    Positions Supervised: None

     

    Job Summary:
                 
    Responsible for performing production work in an industrial environment.  Assembles finished product using both manual and semi-automated processes. Required to start, operate, tend, stop, and clean machinery.  Inspects finished product for quality assurance. Perform all functions and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.

     

    Education/Experience: 

    1. High School diploma
    2. Experience in a production environment preferred
    Job Requirements/Skills:

    1. Demonstrated hand assembly skills
    2. Knowledge of production process and importance of efficiency
    3. Ability to work with small parts for extended period of time
    4. Demonstrated analytical skills
    5. Computer proficiency
    Essential Functions: 

    1. Identify necessary items for product assembly
    2. Load and unload components from machines, carts, dollies and storage units
    3. Clean production area and remove debris from production machines and assembly stations
    4. Feed or place items into equipment for processing
    5. Pull damaged or defective components out of production
    6. Load and unload production equipment
    7. Measure various aspects of product and record data
    8. Read and interpret gauges
    9. Label parts for identification
    10. Ensure conformance to specifications
    11. Perform all other duties as assigned
    Physical Requirements:

    1. Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds
    2. Sit for extended periods of time
    3. Use computer keyboard, mouse and other office and production equipment
    Compensation: $32,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
