DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to maintain, inspect and repair the Wastewater pumping stations and Wastewater Plants. Employees in this classification function at an entry level position. Employee is responsible for weekly pump station inspections, annual maintenance of pumps and related equipment, cleaning pump stations, and other various tasks. Knowledge will be acquired by working with experienced staff and on the job training.

MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, OR CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED and valid Florida Drivers License required for all positions.
Lift Station Mechanical Tech I ($20.27 - $23.28):One (1) year responsible experience in public utilities or other large scale commercial pumping systems, motors, and electrical equipment; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
FWPCOA Class "C" Certification in Wastewater Collection will need to be obtained within (1) year of employment.
Lift Station Mechanical Tech II ($20.93 - $24.66): Must possess Valid Class "B" CDL with Tanker and FWPCOA Class "B" Certification in Wastewater Collection.
Lift Station Mechanical Tech III ($22.95 - $27.04):Must possess Valid Class "B" CDL with Tanker and FWPCOA Class "A" Certification in Wastewater Collection.
