SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall operations and management of the social calendar, budget ,and transportation programs at The Tradition. These responsibilities include but are not limited to program and event planning, program and event execution and coordination, hiring, supervising, training, team member motivation, purchasing and budget compliance, service quality and timelines, environment quality and atmosphere, resident and guest relations and communication. Maintains positive professional relations with employees, residents, and family members. QUALIFICATIONS: At least two years of event planning, hospitality or senior living experience or equivalent experience and education. - Knowledge of local community resources, vendors, and potential coverage for specific areas of cultural guild. Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to direct, supervise, and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance.
- Possesses sound organizational and time management skills. Possesses good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
- Ability to work schedules as warranted by activities, events, and transportation needs.
- Possesses a valid Commercial Driver's License with a passenger “p” endorsement.

by management) - Human Resources: Hiring, training, supervising and motivating team members and volunteers
- Financial:
- Labor management
- Purchasing and supply expense management
- Budget compliance
- Operations Programming:
- Create and maintain a balanced calendar encompassing required areas of the social program structure and resident interests
- Coordinate resources internally with staff and residents as well as externally with vendors to complete programming content
- Ensure programs occur timely and as scheduled per the calendar
- Utilize an energetic approach to encourage resident participation
- Ensure resident transportation schedule is carried out routinely and effectively
- Work with operations team to develop services and revenues
- Prepare and distribute monthly resident calendar, transportation schedule, resident reservation book and all necessary written tools for effective programming, budget compliance, and revenue tracking
- Resident Focus:
- Get acquainted with every resident and complete resident interest survey to be able to better plan programs
- Record keeping:
- Events
- Expense tracking – Ability to use Checkbook system
- Inventory management
- Resident program participation
