Join our team of lifeguards and swim instructors to maintain the health and safety of all participants, and provide high -quality programming, while building relationships with members and program participants. We are seeking candidates interested in life guarding, swim instructing, and/or taking on a combination of both roles. This part -time hourly position is available at our Houser branch in Onalaska, WI.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>- Actively scan the pool deck and maintain a safe and welcoming pool environment<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Enforce all YMCA pool rules<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Respond to all pool emergencies and perform first -aid while on duty<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Teach swimming lessons to YMCA standards<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Communicate with supervisors, staff, members, and guests in a concise and positive manner<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>- <\/ul><\/div>
- Must be at least 15 years old<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Lifeguard Certification (for lifeguards only)<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification (for lifeguards only)<\/span>
<\/span><\/li> - Must enjoy working around children and adults of all ages<\/span>
