Jesse Landis Insurance and Financial Services, Inc- is seeking a qualified and empathetic professional for the role of State Farm Team Member- Life Insurance Sales Specialist.  

Life Insurance Sales Specialist – Hybrid to Remote

We are growing our team and looking for a motivated Life Insurance Sales Specialist who is passionate about helping individuals and families protect what matters most.


This position will begin as a hybrid/in-office training role. Once the team member is fully trained, consistently meeting expectations, and able to perform the position independently, the role is expected to transition to a fully remote position, subject to ongoing performance and business needs.


This opportunity is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, disciplined, comfortable with sales goals, and capable of being highly productive with limited supervision.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct life insurance needs conversations with prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify customer protection gaps and recommend appropriate life insurance solutions.
  • Generate life insurance opportunities from agency leads, existing customer relationships, referrals, and outbound activity.
  • Provide quotes and clearly explain coverage options.
  • Schedule and conduct life insurance appointments by phone, video, or other approved methods.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and customers.
  • Work with the agency team to identify households that may benefit from additional protection.
  • Ask for referrals and develop new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and follow-up activity.
  • Meet established activity, appointment, application, and production goals.
  • Participate in sales training, coaching, and team meetings.
  • Maintain all required insurance licensing and follow applicable agency and carrier procedures.
Hybrid Training & Remote Transition


This position is designed to transition from hybrid/in-office training to fully remote work.


During the initial training and development period, the team member will be expected to work in the office as required to learn agency systems, products, sales processes, customer service standards, and performance expectations.


Eligibility to transition to fully remote work will be based on demonstrated readiness, including:


  • Successful completion of required training.
  • Ability to independently manage the complete life insurance sales process.
  • Consistent achievement of activity and production expectations.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Accurate and timely completion of customer documentation and follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities without constant supervision.
  • Professional communication with customers and team members.
  • Responsiveness during scheduled working hours.
  • Consistent use of agency systems, processes, and reporting requirements.
  • A suitable home workspace that supports professional and confidential customer conversations.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and the ability to use required technology.
  • Continued compliance with licensing, security, privacy, and agency requirements.

  • Insurance or life insurance sales experience is a plus.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain all insurance licenses required for the position.

Compensation

  • Base Pay: $13.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, licensing, and qualifications.
  • Commission & Bonuses: Performance-based commissions and bonus opportunities tied to life insurance production and other established performance goals.
  • Target Additional Compensation: Approximately $7,000–$15,000+ annually in commissions and bonuses for team members meeting expected production goals.
  • High performers have additional earning potential based on life insurance production and bonuses.
Total compensation will vary based on individual performance and production. This position is designed to reward team members who consistently generate opportunities, conduct quality life insurance conversations, follow up effectively, and achieve or exceed production goals.
