    Life Enrichment Coordinator

    As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you’ll help create meaningful, engaging experiences for residents, including individuals living with dementia and other cognitive changes. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, highly organized, and able to coordinate programs and activities efficiently while staying responsive to residents’ individual needs.

    You’ll lead group and one-to-one programming, coordinate outings and events, support volunteers and students, and help create an environment where residents can experience connection, purpose, and joy each day.

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with approximately one weekend every six weeks and occasional evening programming.

    What You’ll Do

    • Plan, coordinate, and lead creative activities, events, outings, and wellness programs for residents throughout the community.
    • Develop engaging programming appropriate for residents with a variety of physical and cognitive abilities, including residents living with dementia.
    • Adapt activities and approaches based on individual interests, abilities, preferences, and changing needs.
    • Provide meaningful one-to-one and small-group engagement opportunities.
    • Build strong relationships with residents and encourage participation in ways that feel welcoming and individualized.
    • Coordinate schedules, transportation, supplies, volunteers, students, community partners, and other program logistics efficiently.
    • Assist with resident assessments, care planning, documentation, and monitoring resident well-being.
    • Support event promotion, program preparation, and other department administrative needs.
    • Collaborate with team members across departments to create a vibrant, resident-centered community experience.

    What You’ll Bring

    • A creative, energetic, and positive approach to resident engagement.
    • A genuine passion for working with older adults, particularly individuals living with dementia or cognitive changes.
    • Experience in life enrichment, activities, recreation therapy, senior living, memory care or healthcare.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple programs, schedules, and priorities efficiently.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • The ability to confidently lead engaging programs for residents with diverse physical and cognitive abilities.
    • Flexibility and the ability to adapt programming in the moment based on resident needs and interests.
    • Comfort working independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
