HIRING RANGE: $32.36 - $35.96/hour
Assists the Lakewood City Clerk's Office with a variety of duties to support the City's regulations and licenses set by Lakewood City Council. This position is primarily office based and is responsible for licensing administration, customer service, inspection coordination, and regulatory compliance activities. Duties include managing assigned licenses, coordinating and conducting inspections investigations, and enforcement actions, and collaborating with the Variable Licensing Inspector (VLI) and other City departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. The position also provides support for front office operations and may perform field work as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City's discretion. Employees must be able to perform the essential duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Maintain records for site inspections and administered licenses and may compile reports regarding on-site inspections/investigations to track compliance issues and ensure timely annual renewals and compliance with City code.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Technological Skills
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
One or more years working in an office environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.
Experience with onsite inspections for code enforcement and the process to resolve/address violations.
Municipal government experience is preferred.
Experience working with Laserfiche records storage system is preferred
Certification/Licenses/Specialized Training
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Must successfully complete and maintain required state or departmental physical standards and certifications.
LIGHT WORK: Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
