What You’ll Do:
Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and implementation of physician orders.
Maintain accurate medication records and health care documentation.
Communicate resident needs and updates across shifts and with the Nurse Manager.
Collaborate with Sister Life Ministers, administration staff, volunteers, and other team members to support quality care.
Provide guidance and assistance to Care Assistants.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and care conferences.
Respond appropriately to emergencies.
Follow infection control standards and universal precautions.
Drive as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
Current California LVN license.
Current CPR certification for health care providers.
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Nursing skills appropriate to licensure.
Ability to relate well to older adults.
Strong teamwork, initiative, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet required pre-employment screenings and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in geriatric nursing.
Understanding and appreciation of the traditions and culture of the Sisters of Mercy.
