Schedule
Full-time position (34-36 hours per week)
- Tuesday-Friday
- 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (typically finishing closer to 5:30 PM)
- Daily lunch closure from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
- No weekends
- No overnight shifts

Surgery & Dentistry Focused
For technicians who love utilizing their skills to the fullest, our current caseload is concentrated on surgery and dentistry, creating an environment where your technical expertise can truly shine.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients during outpatient appointments.
- With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Obtain patient histories, accurately document findings, and maintain complete medical records.
- Perform anesthesia and sedation induction and monitoring, dentistry including dental radiographs and charting, obtain diagnostic radiographs, and provide nursing care as instructed by the DVM to hospitalized patients.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, surgical suite, exam rooms, and labs.
- Prepare patients, medications and equipment for examinations, surgery, dentistry and sedated procedures.
- Collect and prepare patient lab samples for in-house and reference lab diagnostic screening.
- Mentor and support veterinary assistants and fellow technicians while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
- At least 2 years of experience as a LVT
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in:
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Patient monitoring
- Endotracheal intubation
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Laboratory sample collection and processing
- Able to enter medical notes and maintain medical records.
- Able to lift 40lbs unassisted.
- Strong desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients through all life stages.
You’ll have the opportunity to fully utilize your LVT license, working alongside experienced veterinarians while practicing high-quality medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $31 - $35/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
