Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician
Location: Rockford Animal Hospital, Rockford MI
Pay: $20+/hour (based on experience)

Rockford Animal Hospital is growing, and we're looking to add
Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to our supportive, privately owned small-animal practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors with exams, treatments, and procedures.
- Safely and compassionately restrain and handle patients during examinations and treatments.
- Collect and process diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain examination rooms and surgical and dental areas.
- Monitor patients under anesthesia and during recovery, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status.
- Perform dental cleanings and full mouth radiographs.
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs using appropriate positioning.
- Provide client education and support with compassion and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate documentation of treatments and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment, including proper care and handling of medical equipment and instruments.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Veterinary Technician license in the state of Michigan
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for animal care and client service
- Dependable and detail-oriented
