Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing excellent support to veterinarians, patients, and pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Clean, treat, and dress wounds
- Operate laboratory equipment and perform diagnostic testing
- Draw up medications and administer injections as directed
- Prepare animals for surgical procedures
- Assist the veterinarian during surgeries and medical procedures
- Monitor and care for animals before and after procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean and organized
- Provide compassionate care and excellent customer service to clients and their pets
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary clinic, animal care, or veterinary technician experience preferred
- Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lift and carry animals as needed
